More and more people are slowly choosing the single life as their felt calling from God. They want to develop thier relationship with God and serve others. With their freedom from family or community commitments they have better chance to benefit us. They are free to love everyone, not just one person solely, which also closens them to Jesus since Jesus was single as well. Roles that you would need to do in this vocation is to serve others, become closer to God, love all equally, and help out the community. Some gifts and talents that a person will need for this vocation is being able to love everyone, halpfulness, commitment, focus and patience.
