ANIMAL EVIDNECE

Animal fossils have been found on continents coastlines that were connected together when Pangaea was still connected, this suggesting that the continents they were both found on were once connected. An example of a fossil of an animal is the Mesosaurus, this animal is freshwater reptile that looks like a small crocodile, found both in Brazil and South Africa, another example is the land reptile called a Lystrosaurus. This animal’s fossil was found in rocks that existed in the same age from locations in South America, Africa, and Antarctica.

There is also evidence of living animals that migrated and moved around Pangaea from continent to continent when they were connected such the African elephant and the Indian elephant, both countries have elephants, another example is the African and Indian Tiger.
